Navigating the Mirror World & The Black River

Blog on how to navigate the mirror world through spiritual inner authority

It’s been a magical time, where my love for inner authority continues to amplify beyond what I thought was possible. My love for its vastness and how to share it. My reverence for how it works. My fascination for how we unlock each other when inner authority is practiced.

This time culminated with a trip to the Amazon with my parents who were visiting us in Brazil (They’re also the cuties featured in the above photo 😊).

I didn’t know what to expect. The air was pure. The ecosystem thriving with life. But one strange thing stood out immediately. It captured my attention for hours:

The water’s reflection.

Rio Negro is black because of its acidity levels and other scientific reasons I didn’t understand. It’s also so still, only a boat creates visible movement. This time of year is the flooding, where water covers over half the forest. Because of all this, when you look at the water from the land or in a boat, it’s as if the forest extends infinitely within the water. You can watch the sky through the water. One merges into the other.

This environment was the most astonishing embodiment of “As above so below, as within so without” I’d ever seen.

Navigating the world without inner authority is seeing the world in one direction, through the mirror. You try to fix the reflection instead of what is being reflected. The other funny similarity is because the water’s black, we can enjoy the reflection but it’s terrifying jumping in. You can’t see anything! As we get more comfortable jumping into unknown waters and navigating the real terrain instead of the mirror, we can flow and appreciate the whole experience of the ecosystem instead of just looking up or just looking down.

Inner authority isn’t one technique. It can’t be contained in a single teaching. It can’t be learned through the mind. It is a shift in how we perceive and interact with the world. A shift that has repercussions at every level of our being.

It impacts how we breath, how we listen, how we speak. It impacts how we reflect, how we seek, how we choose.

It is never mastered. It evolves with us at every level of awareness. It breaks the loops and carries us gently back to the spiral.

The outer authority paradigm is collapsing and will always collapse because it is fundamentally dead. It is a machine that believes the same rules always apply. But they don’t. One person’s cure is another’s poison. One person’s lesson is another person’s loop. One day you may need to say “yes” to everything in life, and one day you might need to say “no.”

This is why, in the age of AI, we must be so cautious. It was hard enough to break the spell before the entrance of the ultimate “neutral” authority. Inner authority has been beaten out of us through our literal and mental systems for hundreds if not thousands of years. We’ve been encouraged to see the world through red and blue, through simple Instagram phrases, through the various boxes of personal, religious, and national identity.

But when we’re living from inner authority, we will never be one color, one phrase, or fit in a box.

Inner authority is your relationship with the universe within and without. It demands movement, nuance, rhythm, depth, and attunement. It is unique to you. It is unique to me. It will empower you as much as it leaves your bare.

AI cannot understand inner authority, because its authority is the information that currently exists –  what is known.

Inner authority comes from the unconscious, the unknown, the unseen.

AI can read every book from Carl Jung, to great Greek philosophers, to every psychic on the secrets of existence, but it’ll never understand the true depths of consciousness. It can’t understand resonance, discernment or individual consciousness arcs in being – only in theory.

Inner authority asks one question, “How am I evolving today?” Not according to the trends. Not according to what seems “good” or “bad.” Not according to your personality type. According to the highly individualized truth of all that you are, all possibilities, where your consciousness is right now, and where we are as a collective.

Inner authority will always be the path of conscious evolution, freedom, and eternal creation. Outer authority will always be the path to stagnation, fear, and suffering.

Outer authority can wear many different costumes; it can dress in spiritual robes or white lab coats. It can yell or it can soothe. It can be the smartest mind, even non-human. Why? Because it isn’t one person or one thing.

Remember the mirror and the infinite forest? We can try to fix the deceptive government; the abusive gurus and high-profile leaders; the greedy corporate billionaires; the great thirteen lineages or whatever other bad guy you’ve identified… but the closer we get to the mirror reflection, we eventually find our own reflection and dark water. We need to dive. We need to swim to the real forest where the real change is made within us.

Inner authority isn’t easy. Outer authority is easier. Inner authority doesn’t always look good to the outer world. It doesn’t always make sense to others.

But if we genuinely want to change our relationship with life; if we genuinely want a world with less suffering; if we genuinely know in our being that humanity can be (is) beautiful –

Then it starts with a courageous dive. Not a superficial look in the mirror – a dive into depths of the unknown within us.

We don’t need a map or idealistic plan for utopia.

We need inner authority.

Inner authority will lead us home. It knows cosmic perfection beyond our current imagination. It knows how to bring heaven to earth, not with collective idealism but truthful commitment to the tiny steps, the tiny changes in each individual life.

If you practice inner authority, thank you.

If you want support or a stronger foundation, check out the upcoming program for October.

I’ll be sending out these emails twice a month moving forward.
